About Emma Hirai

Emma Hirai is a Los Angeles–based music curator and content consultant. With French-Japanese roots and a career spanning Paris, Tokyo, and LA, she blends cultural fluency, music branding expertise, and editorial sensibility to shape distinctive sonic identities and experiences.

She has collaborated with fashion houses such as Issey Miyake, Hermès, and Jean Paul Gaultier, and worked with both major and independent labels including Warner Music and Naïve. In France, she contributed to Radio Nova, one of the country’s leading independent stations, where she worked across music programming, cultural partnerships, and event production—curating sound and content, producing live broadcasts, and developing projects at the intersection of music, culture, art, and nightlife.

In Los Angeles, Emma has created original audio content for dublab and led music and editorial strategy for venues and cultural institutions. She specializes in lifestyle hospitality and concept-driven spaces, curating sound for properties like The Standard Hotels, The Aster, Mama Shelter, and Sound by the Sea. She views music as an essential part of brand language—able to express identity, shift perception, and create lasting emotional resonance.

Emma also works closely with emerging venues, helping define their sonic identity and cultural voice from the ground up. In parallel, she produces bespoke sound experiences and editorial content for brands, tech platforms, and creative collectives including LANDR, Saucey, and Alldayeveryday.

Her approach—eclectic, intentional, and collaborative—reflects a belief that music should function as real-time storytelling. By creating environments that sound like themselves, Emma helps brands foster deeper, more memorable connections with their audiences.
